The amount you receive in foster care payments varies from placement to placement and region to region. We understand that some children have more challenging needs and requirements than others, and that sometimes you’ll need a helping hand. Factors such as this, along with the age of the child being placed with you and the type of placement, can all affect the allowances and fostering payments you’ll receive.
How many children are you caring for / do you plan on caring for?
What is the age range of these children?
At Clifford House we recognise foster parents for their experience and professional development, as foster parents develop their allowance increases. We also appreciate that children have differing needs, as such an enhanced allowance is paid for children with complex or specialist needs . The average allowance we make per child is £28,119. Many of foster parents care for more than one child over the age of 11. The average fostering allowance our foster parents receive is £47,671 per year, tax free.
